It took me a while but I have done my page for the Jan "Nursery Rhyme" Challenge. I decided to go with Little Jack Horner because everytime I see these pics of my son as a little toddler, raiding the pantry to get to the biscuits, the words "And what a good boy am I" always come to mind.
You will have to excuse the picture quality, so overcast here today. I took this in my scrap room but the light is not the best for picture taking, the glimmer is really a bright red colour - Santa Baby.
The gorgeous Sue from Lovelybug Bits n Bobs http://soupie75.blogspot.com/p/lovelybug-bits-n-bobs.html sent us some sweet buttons to play with. I chose this really cute little bear button to use, the colours were perfect for my page. I used a piece of embossed card stock from the boys embellie kit at my2angels http://www.my2angels.net/p/7551/Boys-ONLY-Embellishment-Kit.html cute little robot and rocket felties from the lovely Susan McGuire, prima mask and hand made banner.
Thanks for looking and don't forget just on a week to go to get your entries in for this Challenge.
My turn to post this week.
I love how some artists draw attention to worth while plights.
Most of us remember the 1985, USA for Africa song
WE ARE THE WORLD
(Great now that's stuck in my head for the day.....)
At my childrens school during the last term the whole school learnt a dance to the SHAKIRA song 'This time for AFRICA' also know as 'Waka Waka'
Shakira's song is a Global campaign to promote - Education For All
Everychild deserves an education
Below is the link to watch the clip that was made by our school and if you

Hi Everyone and Welcome to 2012.!!!!
Its going to be a great year !
This month i asked the girls to do a challenge based on Nursery Rhymes...
Our gorgeous sponsor Sue from LovelyBug Bits n Bobs came up with some buttons that suited our theme and kindly donated them for us to use.
Here they all are !
Enjoy your time off on New Years !!!!
Bek xx
Boy where did the last one go? I Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and that the New Year is going to be a good one for everyone.
This Months theme is Nursery Rhymes which I must admit I did struggle with a bit, as my children are grown and my Grandchildren are now 10 and nearly 14.
Becky sent us some lovely covered buttons to use on our layout from LovelyBug Bits n Bobs I decided to base my layout around the covered button, which is just yummy. So seeing its blue and a rocking horse I thought it needs to be a boys page. So I went searching through my pics and found this Pic of my Grandson Jedd all in blue, so....... My page is Little Boy Blue. I found the nursery rhyme in an old Golden Book and have slid it behind the pic. So what is your favourite nursery rhyme, maybe one that you sing to your children. We would love to see your layout on one that is special to you.
Here's to a wonderful 2012
Cheers
Mary x

Gorgeous Gorgeous work girls!!!
The first thing that came to my mind was Old MacDonald had a Farm. Maybe not what you normally think of with nursery rhymes but the boss lady gave me the go ahead :)
Last year we went to the Royal Adelaide Show and the boys had their picture taken in the Petting Zoo. Eli's tshirt was such a coincidence!
I used a scrummy blue check covered button from the lovely Sue at Lovely Bug Bits n Bobs which is topped on a red single flower from Lime Tree Creations along with lots of goodies from KaiserCraft.
Hope you are finding lots of inspiration, can't wait to see your entries.
Take Care
Becci

BB here................Happy New Year
Nursery Rhymes - I thought I left them when I finished preschool - he he
The challenge was not as challenging as I anticipated once I actually sat down and thought about it.
A couple of years ago one of my friends had a "J" party for her birthday and you had to come dressed as something starting with "J" (obviously).
My parents decided to go as "Jack and Jill" - PERFECT its a nursery rhyme. So there is my pick for the month and here is my LO............
Here is the Nursery Rhyme - just to take you all back a few years
Best of luck with the challenges and i hope you all get time to play along

Great work ladies. My Nursery Rhyme is Mary Mary Quite Contrary. This range of papers is by My Minds Eye and is called "Quite Contrary".I initially visualised a little girl with a watering can behind the fence of flowers but my daughter solved the problem on her recent visit. Her friends lined up in front of Erica's new car for me to take a picture and voila! "pretty maids all in a row".
I've used the 2 buttons from Lovely Bug Bits n Bobs.Happy new Year and Happy Scrappin' ! Love from Julene
