Hello peoples.. where have you all been hiding ??
Have you looked at our challenge playlist? Cant find time for Sept.. dont worry we have Octobers coming out tommorrow night.
You have until 11.59 tonight to get your entries in for this Sept challenge before we release our song list for tommorrow night for October so lets "jump" to it shall we???
The girls have been working overtime to help me out here while i have been sick recently and really do a fantastic job in putting up their posts and their work is just so inspirational.. i hope you really do try and find some time to do a challenge.. we're all motivated by music in one way or another and i find scrapping to it makes expressing myself easier. Sometimes i dont have the right words to say or i cant express the emotions i want to convey and i feel lyrics are really good for your journalling and chanelling your thoughts..
The girls and i are so excited to bring you another challenge, so we hope you can play along with us !!
Question for thought.. what does listening to music do to you ? How does it make you feel? Do you have a song stuck in your head you cant rid of? Do you crank a good song up in the car?
Let us know !!!]
Have a great day..whatever you do..

3 More Days!
Morning girls!
Hope the day finds you happy, healthy and very inspired?
School holidays here in NSW, so no running around getting the kidlets ready for school which is rather nice, for a change.
We are just chillin' at home.. Well that is except my hubby and two eldest sons who are biking it across Australia....!!!
Anyway girls as my blog title states there are only 3 more days to get your entries into this months challenge
So......
Come On!!!
You have some awesome songs to help inspire you and we have two very awesome sponsors....( who wouldn't like a little parcel from TheChipChopShop or Old Favourites Vintage Supplies delivered to their door).
You have to be in it to win it!!!!
I had a little spare time so I managed to do a layout for Miss Annette's September Song choice,
Sunshine On My Shoulders
by the amazing John Denver.
This was my layout:
My wonderful sewing machine was playing up so I used it to my advantage (Positive out of a negitive ).
Used gorgeous Authentique pp-journey, buttons, prima stamp and flower trim from CRAFTQUEEN .
I also used a 6x6 Crafters Workshop (houndstooth) Template with some texture paste mixed with yellow paint.
As soon as I started to think about this song this picture popped into my mind, it was taken back in January,2009 and Hugo is like Sunshine he brightens our days...(I can hear my kids saying," Mum your sooo lame").
So girls, be inspired and please,
'SCRAP THAT SONG'
Until next time........

Sing Out Loud
Hi Peeps,
It's BB here and I am wanting to know a little bit more about YOU..................
You all have been giving a little bit of an insight to who the DT are and what we are about but we have no idea what you like.
So my question to you today..........................:)
WHAT SONG MAKES YOU SING OUT LOUD?
The song that can always put me in a good mood is "Time Warp" from the Rocky Horror Picture Show ( Sad I know!) - but hey that's what makes us all individuals.
Look forward to getting to know you all better
BBxx

O Carol by Neil Sedaka
Julene is my name and I'm from Sunny Sydney. I have been scrapping almost 10 years and have over 1500 layouts to show for my obsession.I've been on several design teams, including this one and Scrapmatts currently.
One of the latest trends I've noticed is using doileys. I usually go to Vinnies or other op shops to find mine.Sometimes I dye them but in this instance I used it as is.
This is my childhood Pedigree Walking Doll,Carol which I have had for 55 years. I recently sold her so wanted to do a layout to remember her. I was singing "Oh Carol" by Neil Sedaka. So the layout was conceived with all that in mind.
It has been great to see the entries for our monthly challenge and we hope you will continue to join in the fun.

Keep those entries coming :)
Hello lovely people,
Mary here again and it is my turn to do a post for the week.
The layout I chose to do for this months challenge is ~ My House~ by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
As at this time I was going through losing the family home due to My Mother having to go into a nursing home, this is the song that kept going through my mind
If you pop over to my blog http://mbennetts.blogspot.com/ you can see my hidden journalling. I have used Websters PP 's , the little bird was given to me by the lovely Jo and the little fence which I have used crackle paint on is from I beleive Twiddlebytz.
A quick post today as I am getting ready to go and scrap with Miss Annette and Kim and two lovely friends from the boxx are travelling to have the day with us :)
Oh and on another happy note, it looks like all going well one of my brothers is going to buy the family home, so fingers crossed
Happy Days

SUNSHINE ON MY SHOULDERS
Hi all welcome to our blog and I really hope that you are having a great day.
My name is Annette and I am one of the amazing Creative Team that we have here and I would love to share with you my lo for the September song challenge.
I chose the John Denver song "Sunshine on my shoulders"
My name is Annette and I am one of the amazing Creative Team that we have here and I would love to share with you my lo for the September song challenge.
I chose the John Denver song "Sunshine on my shoulders"
And the lyrics
Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy, sunshine in my eyes can make me cry.
Sunshine on the water looks so lovely, sunshine almost always makes me high.
If I had a day that I could give you, I'd give to you the day just like today.
If I had a song that I could sing for you, I'd sing a song to make you feel this way.
Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy, sunshine in my eyes can make me cry.
Sunshine on the water looks so lovely, sunshine almost always makes me high.
If I had a tale that I could tell you, I'd tell a tale sure to make you smile.
If I had a wish that I could wish for you, I'd make a wish for sunshine for all the while.
Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy, sunshine in my eyes can make me cry.
Sunshine on the water looks so lovely, sunshine almost always makes me high.
Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy, sunshine in my eyes can make me cry.
Sunshine on the water looks so lovely, sunshine almost always makes me high.
Sunshine almost all the time makes me high. Sunshine almost always:
and the reason is that the lyrics 'sunshine on the water looks so lovely' were prefect for this glorious sunset pic of my last night in Fiji in March this year.Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy, sunshine in my eyes can make me cry.
Sunshine on the water looks so lovely, sunshine almost always makes me high.

I have to admit that I struggled quite a bit with page, it is, for me at least, difficult to scrap pics of places. So thankfully two of our CT Mary and Kim scrapped with me that day and gave me lots of help.
I used some yummy embellies from my2angels, muslin, string, mesh, mesh ribbon, material, cute little date tag (from Kim), bakers twine and canvas paper which I typed the lyrics onto and used for the journalling.

Anyhoo thanks for popping in, please make sure you leave us some love, and use Mr Linky on the sidebar to show us your take on our current song challenges.
Hugs and love to all xo

Book of Love-Kim
Morning beautiful people...my turn for a post this sunny Tuesday.
So...almost half way through September....scary how fast time goes as you get a little older.
So my song choice this month was 'The Book of Love' by Peter Gabriel. If you are/where a 'Scrubs' fan you would have heard this song on the last episode...sob!
I first heard this song at the beginning of this year, my DD had put it on her iTunes and another of my DD's would often play it down in my scraproom. It sort of got stuck in my head. I really love the instrumental feel of this song, makes me feel a tad emotional....
When I looked closely at the lyrics I wasn't sure about my choice (at first )...The book of love is long and boring???...hmmm....it didn't sound very nice, even thou it's sort of true.
Then as I scrolled down I seen the line....
I love it when you read to me....caught my eye....
Perfect!!!
Having had 8* children my hubby and I have read many, many bedtime stories to our babies over the years, some we knew so well we just had to turn the pages and not actually read. Often we would fall asleep with them all snuggled, (they are like big sleeping tablets, sometimes).
It's the little moments that we treasure and scrapping this special cuddle time is very precious, as I know there will come a time they won't ask for stories anymore.
So thanks for stopping bye, hope that you are TOTALLY inspired to use one of our AWESOME SONGS to get creative and SCRAP THAT SONG.
Make sure you use Mr Linky in the side panel to link your layout so the DT can see what you have come up with and be in the running for some very awesome prizes....from our sponsors.
